TASMU SMART QATAR
About the Program
TASMU Smart Qatar is an initiative aligned to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) that aims to transform Qatar into a world-class smart city that has the latest digital solutions to increase the standard of living and increase Qatar's competitiveness, internationally. The TASMU program consists of the Smart Qatar platform and a Playbook of 114 digital use cases across 5 priority sectors. These use cases are meant to provide the foundation for the digital revolution of Qatar.
The TASMU Smart Qatar Program will continue to grow and expand given the addition of new focus sectors to the program and an ever-changing technology landscape. The Playbook is meant to broadcast to the public and private sectors the direction of Smart Qatar for future planning, alignment, and focus and is intended to be a two-way communication platform with the residents of Qatar to engage on key topics such as daily challenges and relevant technology solutions. Finally, it provides a starting point for start-ups, SMEs and MNCs seeking to provide new innovative solutions that are relevant to Qatar.
